2017 Fall softball registration is now open!
by posted 05/07/2017

We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for both the fall 2017 Raptors softball and Raptors Edge competitive softball programs!

The Arapahoe Youth League (AYL) plays host to AA (intermediate/recreational) level softball at 8U (coach pitch), 10U, 12U, 14U levels as well as competitive league play (12U, 14U).  Recreational softball is designed for girls of all experience levels who want to learn and improve in the game of softball.  Competitive softball is generally for girls who are more experienced and who are willing to make a stronger commitment to the game through a more advanced level of play.

In addition to league play, competitive softball also involves tournament play. Raptors Edge is affiliated with USA Softball, the premier national softball organization with clubs all across the United States and who hosts many of the international competitive groups such as the US Olympic softball team.

Our fall 2017 softball schedule is as follows (schedule subject to change):

- Registration opens: May 7th

- Teams organized: late June

- Registration ends: June 30th

- Late registration opens: July 1st (subject to availability/space on teams, and an additional fee will apply)

- Practices begin: first week of July (typically twice a week, 1.5-2 hours per practice)

- Uniform fitting: second week of July (earlier for competitive)

- (Competitive only): tournament in July (schedule TBD)

- AYL regular season game start: August 5th (August 19th for competitive) - 10 regular season games

- Playoffs: Sept 30 & Oct 1 - double elimination format

Registration cost: $350 (late fee of $50 will be assessed on July 1 for late registrants and any unpaid balances, so don't delay!.)

Note: Raptors softball uniforms are new in 2017!  Fall recreational registration fee includes jersey and socks. New Raptors Edge competitive players (who were not on the Spring 2017 team) will be required to purchase a uniform.

See for more information on these programs as well as to sign up today!
